MONEY MATTERS

Conduct educational programs to help girls through our collaborative mentorship programs and will offer ongoing economic development workshops for women through our Money Matters initiatives. Money Matters is a series of financial literacy educational sessions that provide survival skills for handling financial matters.

The goal is to host the annual event as a launch pad for ongoing financial workshops featuring financial research, news reports, and lived experiences with an audience of women of color from all socio-economic sectors. Additionally, the OmahaCARES will offer a Teen Bootcamp to address real-life financial situations so that students can interactively participate in an exercise entitled ‘Mad City Money’. This workshop is designed for teens and young adults to help shift their minds. The initiative will kick off in June 2024.
